FALL - Get Ready for Winter

Winter and cold weather in Central New York can be very unpredictable.  You can expect mild to extreme weather changes in short amount of time.  We at Cold Springs Automotive strive to make sure you and your vehicle passengers are safe to drive in these conditions.
  • Have your antifreeze and heating system checked
  • Are your tires safe for winter travel?
  • Replace your wipers with winter blades
  • Have brakes/ABS system checked for proper stopping on ice and snow
  • Battery should be tested for cold cranking amps
  • Oil and filter change and top of fluids

SPRING - Winter Thaw

After snow and freezing temperatures begin to rise, we are faced with another concern.  Was there any damage caused by sever weather on your vehicle?  Ice can build up under vehicles while driving in the snow and slush.  This material can freeze and cause damage to your vehicle.
  • Inspect CV Axels for ripped or torn boots
  • Inspect ABS wiring for damage
  • Remove snow tires and replace with all season redials. Cold Springs Auto will store your tires until next season
  • Oil change and fluid top off
